Filter Off – New resource for hosting virtual events for singles

I’ve been corresponding with the folks at Filter Off, a new video speed dating platform that enables coaches and matchmakers to host virtual dating event, at no charge!

While it’s free to host and attend events, users become part of the Filter Off community and receive their newsletter, push notifications, and eventually promos for a premium service.

As you might know, in 1997 I was able to quickly launch a very successful coaching business by hosting singles events, and this looks promising for today’s world!

Filter Off is a video speed dating platform that offers dating coaches and matchmakers the ability to host virtual dating events. Since the pandemic, we have run over 1,000 virtual dating events. You may have seen us in the NY Times, BBC, and ABC.

We are now offering matchmakers and dating coaches the ability to run virtual dating events complimentary on our platform. Filter Off handles the video, scheduling, matching, and everything in between. You can optionally charge your attendees for joining the event. You can learn more about running a virtual dating event here.

FAQs:

Is it free to run an event on Filter Off? Yes, it is free to host events on Filter Off. You can create an event here. Once you create an event the Filter Off team will review and then approve your event.
How can I make money? You can sell tickets on a platform such as Eventbrite. Once someone purchases a ticket, you will give them the private code for your event which will be hosted on the Filter Off platform. 
Does Filter Off take a cut of the ticket costs? No, Filter Off does not take a cut of any of your revenue. Our goal is to help you bring in an additional income stream as we strive to be the number one video speed dating platform in the world.
Is Filter Off free to register? Yes, there is no cost for your attendees to register on Filter Off.
How can I install Filter Off? Filter Off is available on iOS and Android. A web application is coming soon.
What does a virtual speed dating event look like? Please check out this video here.
How does Filter Off promote its paid services to its audience? In the future Filter Off plans to implement premium online services that help users get more dates.

How will Filter Off communicate their services to my attendees? Filter Off will never sell user data to a 3rd party. When someone installs the Filter Off app, they are added to the monthly newsletter which highlights new updates and upcoming public events. However, they can of course unsubscribe. Filter Off sends intermittent push notifications letting users know of public virtual dating events nearby that are hosted on the Filter Off platform.
